Q: [How Many Frequencies are available ]
A: [30 in all, starting from 61 --> 90. But these frequencies are only in the 75 hz range only. We do not allow any 72hz. ]


Q: [What Transmitter/receiver combination is the best]
A: [We recommend any transmitter / receiver combination ( in the 75hz band) that has the capability to be completely digital. That means no swapping of crystals.]


Q: [Are there any classes in building a Remote Control Sailboat]
A: [ You will find the knowledge within our group , become a member and learn from these professional sailor and craftsmen]


Q: [What sailboat do you recommend we start with ]
A: [We recommend the Sanibel 36-600 RTR Sailboat( purchase from Great Hobbies , Edmonton), its fiberglass hull, easy handling and full gear make this a winner. Our members also have hand built sailboats that are for sail]


Q: [What do the flags mean on your pages]
A: [Those are Nautical Flags / Signal Flags , that are standard throughout. The Flags represent each of our letters E.R.C.S.A. . For more information go to this website and view more flags and meanings]


Q: [What is the maximum size of boat you can sail with R/C ? ]
A: [You can sail from 24 inch to what ever your pocket book allows. It is called inch-itus ( the bigger the boat the larger the expenditure) ]


Q: [Do you have a propeller powering your sailboats? ]
A: [No ! we are sailing with the wind only. as the saying goes " We cannot change the wind only our direction to the wind]



Q: [Does your group offer support in building our boats? ]
A: [Yes ! we have boat builders, boat designers and a great association of helpful people to assist if you run into difficulty with your project.]



Q: [Do your boats sink or tip over? ]
A: [No ! The sailboats are stabilized with a large keel which has a heavy shaped weight beneath the hull. This offers a righting action. As for sinking , if you do not seal your boat then water will enter, check often.]
